In the Monthly Delivery Selection for December:

Carnaroli Rice by Ercolì Agraria and Verrigni
From a consortium of small producers in Vercelli, Piemonte, comes this fine carnaroli rice. Carnaroli rice holds its texture a little better than arborio while giving a nice, creamy consistency to your risotto.

“Le 4 Caccavelle” Jumbo Shells by Fabbrica della Pasta.
Beautiful, extra large shells from Gragnano outside of Naples. Try a recipe by Antonino the “pastaio” from the mini-CD  for a stunning holiday presentation.

Pomodorini Pugliesi by Agricola Paglione
Whole Apulian cherry tomatoes from Agricola Paglione, the 4th generation family producer in Puglia who controls all parts of their short chain of production. Use with the jumbo shells or on a holiday appetizer plate.

Peperoncino Extra Virgin Olive Oil by Terre di Grifonetto
Give your holiday dishes a kick with this mildly spicy extra virgin olive oil.

Dried Porcini Mushrooms by Giuliani Tartufi
Admire the fine quality of these dried porcini mushrooms which will work both in this month’s mushroom risotto recipe or with the jumbo shells.

Chocolate-covered breadsticks by Mandrile e Melis
Treat your guests to the blissful creamy chocolate coating combined with the savory crunch of the breadstick.
