Launching Monthly Cooking Demos: Zia Pia Cucina!

THIS WEEKEND OCTOBER 11 & 12: FIRST COOKING DEMONSTRATION AND TASTING OF MONTHLY RECIPES

What is the logical extension of our wonderful Monthly Selections? Cooking them and tasting them together, of course! Now, each month, from our stand at 7th Street Public Market we will be demonstrating and tasting the recipes we share along with the wonderful products each month with our fun new experiential demo series, ZIA PIA CUCINA!

Join Lori, Michael and me as we regale you with tales of Italian regional cooking, traditions, tips, tricks and best of all the SIMPLICITY of it all. Recipes will be paired with the perfect wine from our neighbors at Assorted Table Wine Shoppe. Need vegetables and herbs for the recipe? Jerry at Greeneman Farms has you covered. Local, all-natural meats for flavoring? It’s right there at What’s Your Beef. And, of course, we will have our  own Monthly Selectionbag ready for you to go full of our own products that we used in the recipe demo.

We are launching the ZIA PIA CUCINA series with 2 recipes this month:

  • October 11 @ 1:00pm, Lori will demonstrate Tondino del Tavo Beans with Maltagliati, a wonderful typical pasta e fagioli rich in fiber, protein and minerals.
  • October 12 @ 1:30pm, Michael will demonstrate Farro Gemelli with Pumpkin, a fabulous seasonal and nutritious dish high in fiber, Vitamins A  & C and minerals.

Classes are $10 each or both for $15 (use coupon code 2FOR15 at checkout). Take away the Zia Pia Monthly Selection bag for $75 which includes all of our products for BOTH recipes. (Customization is always an option of course.) All classes take place at the demo station in the back of the market. Please arrive a few minutes early to check in. Participants will get their tasting plate, fork and wine glass at check in.
